Fra le tracce del disco troviamo anche Close to the top. https://www.instagram.com/p/BocmUvPCbq-/?hl=it&taken-by=maneskinofficial L’album, scritto interamente dai Maneskin e prodotto dalla band insieme a Fabrizio Ferraguzzo, è un racconto autobiografico che riflette nelle 12 tracce le quattro anime dei componenti, unendo le influenze musicali di ciascuno, pur rispettandone la varietà. Un fil rouge lega tutti i brani: la figura di Marlena, la Venere del gruppo, la personificazione della creatività, della libertà, della vita, che si muove fra le righe e le note di tutto l’album. I testi, sia in italiano che in inglese, sono il frutto delle diverse ispirazioni, musicali e non, che hanno accompagnato la vita artistica della band in questo ultimo ricchissimo anno. Sempre forti della loro attitudine rock, i Maneskin presentano al pubblico tutte le sfumature del loro sound inconfondibile, attraversando rap, funk e pop e, al tempo stesso, approfondendo una dimensione più intima e introspettiva, riscontrabile soprattutto nelle due ballad. Il titolo, Il Ballo della Vita, richiama l’elemento della danza, tratto caratteristico della maggior parte dei pezzi: il ballo viene inteso qui come metafora della vita, della libertà di movimento e, soprattutto, di pensiero. “IL BALLO DELLA VITA” rispecchia anche la dimensione live che la band ha respirato sin dall’inizio del percorso. Grazie al primo tour di oltre venti date sold out, i giovani musicisti hanno potuto cogliere direttamente dal palco le reazioni dei fan. I Måneskin sono tornati per lasciare un segno, con la volontà di rincorrere i propri sogni grazie all’arte e alla musica, ormai diventata la loro vita.
