Chi è Netta Barzilai, la vincitrice di Eurovision 2018 con Toy! scritto da Laura Boni 12 Maggio 2018 Netta Barzilai ha trionfato all’Eurovision Song Contest 2018. La coloratissima cantante israeliana si è classificata prima come da pronostico con il suo contagioso brano Toy (scopri qui video ufficiale, testo e traduzione). Ma chi è Netta? Netta Barzilai che in lingua ebraica si scrive נטע ברזילי, è nata a Hod HaSharon, una città del distretto Centrale di Israele (dove ancora risiede), il 22 gennaio 1993. Quando era bambina si è trasferita in Nigeria con la sua famiglia per quattro anni, per poi tornare nella sua patria. ha fatto l’anno di servizio militare obbligato nella Israeli Navy Band, ovvero l’orchestra militare. Alla fine del 2017 Netta si è presentata alle audizioni di HaKokhav HaBa, il processo di selezione israeliano per l’Eurovision Song Contest. Si è esibita sulle note di Rude Boy di Rihanna ed ha ottenuto l’approvazione da parte dell’82% del pubblico, nonché di tutti e quattro i giudici, qualificandosi per gli stadi successivi del programma. Il 13 febbraio 2018 è stata annunciata come vincitrice, garantendosi la possibilità di cantare per la sua nazione sul palco dell’Eurovision a Lisbona. Il brano con cui rappresenterà Israele all’Eurovision Song Contest, Toy, è stata scelta da una giuria di esperti selezionata dal nuovo ente televisivo israeliano IPBC ed è stato pubblicato l’11 marzo 2018.
