Back To You di Selena Gomez è stato designato come primo brano della colonna sonora della seconda stagione di Tredici. Il singolo in questione, oltre a essere il primo della nuova era della cantante, è stato anche scelto per una scena in particolare del telefilm.

Nell’ultimo episodio della seconda stagione, Jessica e Justin hanno un momento insieme durante la festa del ballo di primavera. Nonostante Jessica si frequenti nuovamente con Alex e sia andata con lui al ballo, la ragazza non riesce a smettere di pensare o osservare il suo ex ragazzo. I due si incontrano negli spogliatoi della scuola e iniziano a baciarsi, mentre parte il brano Back To You di Selena, proprio dal testo: “I wanna hold you when I’m not supposed to, when I’m lying close to someone else. You’re stuck in my head and I can’t get you out of it”.

Anche se Justin non ha fermato la violenza di Bryce nei confronti della sua ragazza, Jessica sembra essere ancora innamorata di lui, nonostante sia la sua famiglia che i suoi amici l’hanno avvertita che lui non è la persona adatta per lei.
